Loving the history – Indian Head

For my next spread in PINK, you will get to learn all about my discoveries in Indian Head. I really have to admit that this little town quite unexpectedly stole my heart. Steeped in rich and interesting history it truly has a lot going for it. What I found most incredible was the obvious dedication to preserving and revitalizing the town. They truly embrace its history.

The folks who took me on personalized (out of season) tours of the Bell barn and Rural Sports Hall of Fame were so incredibly kind and informative. It was a valuable experience and has truly reshaped how I view small town life and what it offers. There really is a story to be told anywhere you visit.

Anyhow, I won’t spill the beans on what I was able to uncover, but will leave you with some photos from the trip.

Explorin’ my own digs – Saskatchewan

I am off on a new adventure, monthly. A great one at that. I am stoked to writing a monthly travel piece (and providing photography) for a great Saskatchewan publication, PINK (http://www.getcompass.ca/home/pink-magazine/latest-issue/.)

The articles will cover towns/cities and areas in Saskatchewan that have something unique to offer. I aim with these pieces not only to draw in newcomers to our great province, but to get people who already live here to explore it.

Hope you enjoy my journey, I am looking forward to it. And, if you have any suggestions on a destination I must visit,  I would love to hear from you!

Here is the first spread on a little town that I have a major crush on – Lumsden.
